ELECTRIC TECHNOLOGY
Electric motors for PEUGEOT vehicles
PEUGEOT's electric vehicles provide zero-emission, fluid and quiet driving, as well as high-quality road performance.
ELECTRIC MOTOR
Compact and responsive
The permanent-magnet electric motor offers a maximum output of 100 kW/110 hp and torque of 260 Nm. It provides optimal driving pleasure: reduced vibration, a silent motor PEUGEOT electric vehicles are fitted with an acoustic vehicle alerting system which operates at speeds below 18mph.
- An inverter: This transforms the direct current provided by the electric motor. The inverter is located between the battery and electric motor.
- A speed-reducer: An electric car does not have a gearbox but a speed-reducer. This makes the electric motor's rotation speed compatible with the car's usual speed range.
BATTERY
High-performance battery
217 range based on all-new PEUGEOT e-208. Official Range figures for the all-new PEUGEOT e-208 range are Combined 217 – 194 miles. WLTP cycle, 2019 standard, corresponding to 217 miles WLTP. The fuel consumption or electric range achieved, and CO2 produced (where applicable), in real world conditions will depend upon a number of factors including, but not limited to: the accessories fitted (pre and post registration); the starting charge of the battery (electric only); variations in weather; driving styles and vehicle load. The all-new e-208 is a battery electric vehicle requiring mains electricity for charging. The WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure) is used to measure fuel consumption, electric range and CO2 figures. Figures shown are for comparison purposes and should only be compared to the fuel consumption, electric range and CO2 values of other cars tested to the same technical standard.

For your peace of mind, the battery has an 8-year warranty or 100,000 miles for 70% of its charge capacity.

The vehicle will rapid charge at a rate of up to 100kW, depending on the power of the rapid charging station and will take longer to charge at a lower power. Rapid charging stations are available across the UK at various locations and their power rating caries, typically from 50kW and sometimes up to 350kW.
